Choosing someone to build your website is mostly an act of faith. You are buying something that does not exist yet, from someone you have only just met.
So instead of showing you pictures of other people’s projects, here is exactly how this works, start to finish, before you ever pick up the phone.
Before I quote, I ask a lot of questions
I will not price a website from a conversation. I send you five questions, then we spend forty-five minutes on a call going through the rest. Every page, what goes on it, what a visitor needs to be able to do, who writes the words, who signs things off.
It is not a formality. A fixed price is only possible if we both know exactly what is being built, and most of what goes wrong on website projects goes wrong right here, months before anyone notices.
You get that brief back in writing before you get a price. If something is missing from it, say so then. It is far cheaper than saying so later.
The price is fixed, because the scope is fixed
You get a written proposal listing exactly what I am building. That is the price. It does not move unless you ask for something that is not on the list, and if you do, I quote it before I start. You will never get an invoice for something you did not agree to.
Two rounds of review are included. A round is one set of comments covering everything, not a trickle of separate messages. After the second round, further changes are quoted separately.
I would rather set that out now than quietly pad the price to cover a risk that might never happen.
You own everything, and you are never locked in
This is the part I do differently on purpose.
Your domain is registered in your name. Not mine. Your hosting account is yours, contracted and paid by you directly. I deploy into it. The code is yours once the work is paid for, to change, extend, rebrand, or hand to somebody else.
I cannot hold your website hostage, because I do not hold any part of it. If you want to move to another developer in a year, you can, and you will not need my permission or my password.
That choice costs me the easiest recurring revenue in this industry. It is still the right way to do it.
When it is finished, you actually get everything
At handover you receive a written pack containing the source code, your admin access, a backup and where it lives, a list of every component the site is built on and its licence, and a short guide to editing your own content, written for your site rather than a generic manual.
Then we spend an hour together and I watch you edit a page yourself, instead of showing you how I would do it.
You should be able to run your own website. If you would rather not, that is what the care plan is for, but it should be a choice and not a dependency.
Thirty days’ warranty, then a price before anything starts
If something does not work the way the proposal said it would, tell me within thirty days and I fix it. No charge, no argument.
After that, new work is new work, and you get a price before anything begins.
I also keep a care plan: updates, backups, a couple of hours of changes each month, and someone to call. Most websites need attention around six months after launch, which is exactly when nobody is watching. You do not have to take it, and I will not chase you about it.
What I do not do
Being clear about this saves us both time.
I build websites, web applications and business systems, and I look after them.
I do not do brand identity or logo design, copywriting or photography, ongoing SEO or content marketing, managed IT or security testing, or advertising and media buying. I know good people for all of it and I am happy to introduce you.
Who you are actually dealing with
Me. I scope every project myself, I write the proposal, and I am the person you call when something needs attention.
I work with a small delivery team, experienced developers I have chosen and who work to my brief. I direct the work and I am responsible for it. You deal with me throughout.
Alwarda Tech is a Dubai licensed company with a real trade licence, a real office in Deira, and activities that genuinely match the work I sell. That matters more than it sounds. It means I can issue you a compliant invoice, sit across a table from you on a Tuesday, and still be here at renewal.
What it costs
Better that you know before you call.
| From | |
|---|---|
| Business website, 5 to 10 pages | AED 9,000 |
| Corporate website, 15 to 30 pages | AED 19,000 |
| Online shop | AED 17,000 |
| Custom web application or business system | AED 41,000 |
| Connecting two systems that do not talk | AED 4,000 |
| Arabic version of any of the above | +25% |
| Care plan | AED 800 per month |
Every project is quoted properly after the brief. These are starting points rather than a menu, and if what you need sits well outside them, it is kinder for me to say so on the first call.
If you want to start
Send me a note about what you are trying to do. If it is something I can help with, I will send you the five questions and we will find forty-five minutes.
If it is not, I will tell you that too, and point you at someone better placed.
